It’s been a few years since I first set up a Google Gmail alert for the keyword “fairytale”, and I’ve had a whole mess of interesting things pop up. It’s helped me discover several blogs and websites that I find wonderful and informative, but it’s also spammed my inbox with a lot of crazy links. I’ve learned that people use the word “fairytale” very often, but not very well. It’s most often used in melodramatic phrases like: “life isn’t a fairytale” or “love isn’t like the fairytales”
